This lesson plan is meant for Spanish teachers who would like their students to become more invested in learning vocabulary.
Young language learners are more likely to participate in an activity if they are part of a creative process. That's why I not only have my students make their own, good old fashioned flashcards, but I have them create their own games for those flashcards!
Construction of knowledge is the way to go, especially in a language learning environment. This FREE lesson plan utilizes a constructivist approach, as students are directly involved in deciding what, and how, they will learn.
This plan does take a bit of time, and requires the use of index cards or homemade cards, but once it is done, it can be a lifesaver throughout the school year. I hope you like it! My students love it!
